Synopsis

Through Fire, Water and…Brass Pipes is one of acclaimed director, Alexander Rou’s charming fairy tale classics. The movie is permeated with folk poetry, sparkling humor, lots of magic, much kindness, and nostalgia for childhood.

A well-known young man, Vasya, meets the beautiful Alyonushka, walking with a goat at the forest edge. It’s love at first sight.

Meanwhile, in the dark kingdom, where there is no place for love, all the evil are gathering for the wedding of Kashchey the Immortal and the daughter of Baba Yaga. However, after tasting a rejuvenating apple that throws off a good hundred years of age, Kashchey is thinking of looking for a younger, more beautiful bride. His first choice is the beautiful Alyonushka.

And so, Kashchey’s servants kidnap Alyonushka right in front of the bewildered Vasya. He then immediately goes in search of his lover. Fierce fires and deep waters await him along the way. However, the most difficult test will be the temptation of glory and loud honor.
