Based on the play by Sergei Mikhalkov, The Big Space Travel tells the enchanting story of three Soviet schoolchildren who win a competition to become the first children in space.
Fedya Druzhinin from Moscow, Sasha Ivanenko from Donetsk, and Sveta Ishenov from Uzbekistan journey on the spaceship, Astra, with just one adult commander. However, soon the commander falls ill and has to be medically isolated. And so, command of the ship falls on the three kids. Makes you think about Covid-19 quarantine, huh?
Also, it’s worth mentioning that the music for the movie, by Alexei Rybnikov, became popular in its own right. Enjoy!
