Heavenly Judgement

Heavenly Judgement, aka Heavenly Court, is an interesting contemporary Russian film about the afterlife. Once a person dies, he must stand before a court which decides whether to send his soul to the sector of repose or the sector of meditations. The court consists of people who have died a bit before them and looks at the person’s actions in life to assess their worth. However, things get a little complicated when one of the court lawyers discovers that a man on trial had proposed to his widow.
