Synopsis

On August 12, 2000, the world was shocked to receive the news that a Russian submarine, “Kursk,” had sunk. The film, 72 Meters, tells the story of this tragic disaster. Well, actually the film is not based on the direct historical events. It actually deals with an almost identical story. 72 Meters deals with the age-old, story-telling axiom of the unsinkable ship that sinks. What matters more than the unsinkability of the ship is the people who live through such terrible events and what it reveals of their characters. Watch this nerve-racking film to experience how in the most desperate of circumstances, humans can place the good of others before even their own survival.
