Break

Break (Отрыв) is a tense thriller about a group of friends who get trapped in a funicular in the middle of winter. It’s New Year’s eve, and five friends decide to celebrate on top of the mountain at a sky resort. However, their fund plans soon turn into a nightmare when their rickety old funicular gets stuck over an abyss. It’s bitter cold and each moment that help doesn’t arrive brings the unlucky revelers closer to a dreadful death. At first, their choice seems clear: risk freezing to death where they are or risk a dangerous fall into a broken-limbed heap on the mountain side. However, when certain members of the friend group start their true, dark natures, they discover that the most menacing threat they face is each other.
